The MOST successful lemonade stand I have ever seen!

Jake: "Mom? Can I have a lemonade stand?"
Me: "Only if you promise to do everything and clean it up when it's over."
Jake: "Ok."

And so he preceded to find the pitcher and made some strawberry lemonade. Climbed up the cupboards and got the cups. Found some paper and made a sign. Dragged a table and chair outside and carefully set it up. Quietly he worked. Determined. He set down his treasure box with his own money to use for change, sat down and waited for his first customer. Little did we know, he was about to have the most successful lemonade stand EVER!

One minute after he went out, I heard him talking to someone. I went out surprised to see his first two customers. They happily talked about how they did this as a kid and generously tipped him $1.25.

I thought "Wow! That was fun! But, I thought, there was no way that he would get through the whole pitcher. It's not that busy of a street."

Soon, the neighborhood kids were there to help. They had some grand marketing schemes. One dressed up as the mascot and carried a sign up and down the street yelling "PINK LEMONADE! 5 CENTS A CUP!". Did you catch that? A mascot for the lemonade stand! He was a Sith Lord. I can't help but still laugh about it! And it worked! He brought customers back with him.

One cup after another,

after another,

after another

were sold.

Three refills of the pitcher and they finally had to stop because we ran out of cups. It was just after 3pm. They had sold 3 pitchers of lemonade in about an hour and made $4.88 cents.

We may have something here.
